In the picture the mouse cursor is kind of over the break, but if you look closely-you’ll be able to see the break and a wedge that illustrates how broken it is. Man this sucks–looks like I won’t be riding for 2-3 months. I’m just hoping that I’ll be able to get some more in this season. The cloud in the silver lining was that up to that point I had a pretty epic day of riding with Dolce, Steve, & Chochie. Switch tail manuals were flowing nice, and I was popping some nice switch backside 180s. My collarbone was crushed after a fall from a boardslide on a 20 ft. long 4 ft. hand rail. I ollied up on to the rail, slid halfway through. My weight was too far forward which caused me to catch an edge. I hopped up hoping to uncatch my edge–but I was too forceful–when I landed from the hop I bounced off the rail springing me into the air–I tried to add some jump to it to clear the end of the handrail instead of landing on it–but what I’ve learned from this is that it’s probably just better to fall on the handrail. In the end of it all I came to a crushing halt-landing on my shoulder, collarbone area, and head. I didn’t land on anything soft. Just a pure mashed down ice landing. I picked myself up slowly–just a bag of bones and a shell moved over to the side–and knew it was the end of my day and that I was broken. Thanks bros (Tommy, Chochie, Steve) for helping me gather my stuff and getting me to the hospital quick and keeping me in good spirits…
